La palabra «demure» es originaria del idioma Francés la cual se usa en el idioma inglés para describir a alguien que es modesto, reservado o tímido, a menudo con un matiz de delicadeza o elegancia. Su uso es común cuando se habla de comportamientos o actitudes que son prudentes y discretos.
